It's bad, there are maybe a half dozen films ever made that are capable of actually frightening anyone over the age of 13. They're cheap to make. But now that's not even a single genre. We have the zombie genre, the zombie comedy genre, the found footage horror genre ... on and on it goes.

fuck you buddy, I was born in the 80's and I love wanton sex and violence. stuff like friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street was the height of horror for a long time.

I mean fuck, movies don't even have the car crashes that they used to, all the explosions are GGI, unlike that one at the end of predator, just some good old gasoline and a match.

I only just saw Suspiria and man was I underwhelmed. Decent camp value, some fun uses of lighting, but...that's it? That's giallo? Or are there better examples?
