I know this show is meant to be "fun", but the writing is so abhorrent that it's really hard to find it fun. Even Marvel movies are better than this honestly.

They did the best they could without creating more attention. It's established that in a small town where nothing eventful has happened since an owl landed on somebody's head or something, that you can't just run around killing people and covering it up as if you're in a highly populated area like New York City. They tried it with the diner owner and that's what sparked more suspicion. It's like trying to chase and catch someone with a third party present who can't know what you're doing, so every time they look you have to act coy and stop.

Like I said, you can't keep killing people in a small town -- particularly the police sheriff. And since I already know you weren't paying attention in the finale, they were actually willing to overdose him until he bargained the kid's location away.

And we already know that part of season two will be about the ramifications of season one, so coping with everything will be included -- plus Will is in a fucking psychiatrist's office, so not everything is fully back to normal. Not every character was exposed to the Upside Down as much as Will was.

Marvel isn't aiming for Academy awards, they're aiming for fun that anyone can relate to. As much as I don't particularly care about capekino, they still create the most enjoyable movies.

I didn't get what was so good about it. Child actors are always meh and the story wasn't particularly unique or good. I guess I liked that it broke some tropes, especially the incompetent and not-involved police one. Definitely one of the most overrated tv-shows in the last 5 years. Doesn't mean it's bad tho.
