You can say "muh nostalgia" all you want, but at the very least you must admit there was far more variety
Dan Schneider
((((((((((((((((((((Jews))))))))))))))))))))
>>85323020
wut? Nickelodeon was founded by Jews and its President during the 90s golden age (Herb Scandell) was Jewish
>>85322998
Similarly, Dan Schneider produced some of Nick's greatest kino's (All That, Kenan & Kel) but seem to have lost his mind after Drake & Josh
The President of Nick who took over in 2006 and saw the final steep decline (Cyma Zarghami) is IRANIAN, not Jewish
>>85322982
Oh look this fucking thread again comparing the early 2000s to 2007+. Is that the 3rd this week? We get it you hate life after 2007 you don't need to keep making threads on it multiple times a week fuck off
>>85323152
It's not OP's fault 2007 destroyed everything
>>85322982
i wanna say all the artists and creative forces behind the show ditched nickelodeon and left it to sink.
it kinda changed from being this trippy-but-acceptable kids programming, and i feel embraced more aspects of their nick jr channel. it had gone the way of the old hannah-barbara cartoons before it
>he watched nick instead of cartoon network
Keenan & Kel was the only show worth switching over for
what does nickelodeon want with me
>>85323115
OP why are you indulging that shit? Or was that your way of bumping your thread?
You grew out of it. You are no longer the targeted age demographic.
>>85324082
Not true. I could easily watch some early 00s/90s kids shows and be entertained now
>>85322982
>2000
>doug
>rocko
>clarissa
>nick arcade
>mr wizard
did the 90s merge with the 2000s?
>>85324160
That's nostalgia. It's not the same as watching the new shows for the current kids.
>>85324352
I've watched shows I didn't watch as a kid from that era and they're still pretty great. I had never watched Ren & Stimpy as a kid and they're pretty ground-breaking today.
>>85324082
Not an argument, was far more variety back then. Nickelodeon shows the same 2-4 shows all day now
>>85324082
m8 you can fuck right off if you dont find hey arnold, looney toons, doug, or legends of the hidden temple to evoke some emotion in your husk of a shell you call a body
and i aint even talking about ren & stimpy or rockos, or kablam, or fucking duckman of all programs.
you must be 12
>>85324368
You're used to their overall feel because it came out at the same time. What's coming out now is aimed at a different era.
That or you're just being too hard on the new shows because it's the cool thing to do these days.
To understand what happened with Nickolodean you have to understand that good children's television was more of a damn fluke.
With a few exceptions the kid's shows of the 60s, 70s, and 80s were straight up mediocre. Kid's watched very bland cartoons like the Hannah Barbera crap.
Disney for whatever miraculous reason decided to make great kid's cartoons in the 80s with Ducktales and the other shows that debuted alongside it. That inspired Warner Bros with the help of Steven Spielberg to make good cartoons as well and finally we had Nickolodean doing crazy cartoons like Ren and Stimpy.
All good things must end, Disney may have started the animated television rennaisance and then they took it away with Disney Channel doing shitty cheaply produced kid's sitcoms. Nick followed suit. Only thing we have left is Cartoon Network and their budgets have been clearly slashed, just compare the animation quality of their current Justice League show to the first Justice League cartoon, it's sad.
>>85322982
You have nostalgia blinders on, the programming is much better today.
>>85322982
>Why doesn't this children's network appeal to me anymore?
90% of what you posted is garbage, by the way.
the fact that y'all discuss Nickelodeon and comic book bullshit makes this board worse than any other board.
>>85324673
/tv/ was worse than any other board before the capeshit trend, believe it or not.
Internet.
i really miss the original adult swim blocks
I'd give anything to be 14 again, staying up late on a school night. Muffling my laughter with my brother. The overtired feeling making everything funny. Completely sober entertainment. No responsibilities. No bills. No job.
It makes me want to make millions so I can live carefree again.
Why does playing with toys lose interest with age? I used to spend hours playing with legos and inventing stories and characters. How come things like that lose interest as we get older? Is it chemical?
>>85323251
Confirmed.
death of the saturday morning cartoon block
We (the best generation) moved on to chatrooms and video games.
>>85322982
2000's line up was pretty shit as well stop being underage op
>>85324599
>Hannah Barbera
>bland
anon..I
>>85324741
>>85324599
Have you seen what's on the Cartoon Network schedule?
>>85326290
JESUS
>>85326290
>>85326290
they play scooby doo movies every morning lad, is this CN India or something?
>>85324967
The responsibilities of an adult take away the joy of kids toys and society tells people that if you still play with toys or watch cartoons at a certain age you're an outcast because they want you to focus on more expensive adult things
>>85326365
It's the USA schedule
>>85326290
why
>>85324295
Yes
>>85326290
gotta admit when i had cable, i loved it when that block of gumball came one instead of watching teen fucking titans with my kid...show's kino bruv
>>85324082
Correct. Same reason why people fell out of favor with MTV. Demographics changed but people fail to see themselves getting older
>>85326779
MTV fell out of favor because it stopped playing music and because of the internet. not even teenagers like mtv
