I love Eva Green, but the truth of the matter is she's getting just slightly too old to play the conventional eye candy roles. Now she can still play the aging eye candy MILF type roles, but that's not really needed very much in the superhero genre.

And, I suspect that's why we haven't seen her around much lately.

Kurt Russell commented on this in an interview. The interviewer asked him how come there are no roles for aging women in Hollywood. His answer is that there ARE roles for them, they just don't want them. They always want to play the eye candy female lead, roles intended for 20 year old women. If they'd be willing to consider more age appropriate roles, there are a ton a of them, but they still expect to be casted as a 20 year old by the time they're in the 40s which is unrealistic.
