kino indeed, amazing how shitty the director's next film was.
>>85273333

reading the original kind of want to make me not watch the movie
or hey fuck it, could always watch code geass again since its basically the same story in an anime package
>>85273426
I see the movie was a little bit too dense for redditors like you to understand.
Could you please get back to whatever capeshit thread you came from? we are discussing kino here.
Explain me one thing.
Did people really talk like this in medieval Scotland? or is it trying to mimic the dialogues from Shakespeare work (which I've never read and probably never will)

no worries friendo, macbeth is only shakespeares best work.
No need to read it and understand that its a play.
No need to use your brain to understand that macbeth set the basic storyline for all tragic heroes.
No need to realize that its a play turned into a movie.
But seriously

But I know all of those things.
I have other interests and things to read.
Macbeth is something to be witnessed... a play. So one day I will see it.
So you come to me bearing this aura of pretentiousness around you, spewing words whose origin comes from ways I know of. Were I younger and see a comment like the one I've made I would made the same remarks as you, just so I could feel smarter.
Chill m'dude.
>>85273682
No. This is Shakespearean prose. He set his plays in many different places across Europe during different time periods, but all dialogue is set in his era.
And it's still very easy to do and say if you break down what's being said. It's all in how the actor acts is.

Did u not go to school?
>>85274107
I did brotha
>>85274043
>tfw being forced to read macbeth in school
>tfw being dragged into 2 macbeth plays in school
>tfw one is a "modern" version with nigga pimp actors
>tfw one tries to be "original"
>tfw both succeed in giving me aids and cancer
text version was the best

no worries friendo, i dont need to FEEL smarter
It fucking sucked and anyone who hides behind "i-it must've been to-too deep for you" is a retard.
It's not deep. The director gravely misunderstands the reason Shakespeare's original story worked--the boundless energy of its plot and characters.
It simply doesn't work as understated as the actors play it in this. It just doesn't.
The final scene with the orange shit was fucking dope though, but not nearly enough to save it.Sorry to crossover into /v/ for a second, but does anyone else feel a lot of this film had "video game-y" elements to it? It makes sense since they were probably already in talks for the Assassin's Creed movie, but all the Snyder-esque action and the final "boss" duel seem a bit uncannily like it came out of vidya.
I thought it was kino.
>>85273134
Fassbender and Marion killed it
>>85273134The one with Patrick Stewart was better.
