It's almost as if they're purposefully reinventing the franchise or something. They said nowadays people are desensitized to violence with shit like Hannibal on network television, so why try to disturb people when it's impossible? So they said it'll be a bigger focus on "fun" like an Evil Dead film.

I was at my friend's house watching Saw 7 laughing my ass off through the whole movie.
It's the only one I SAW, so I just assumed the whole series was a comedy
