Just got back from watching DunkeyKirk. I found it very broad and easy to be honest. A bit of a circlejerk and basically had no German faces in it at all.
I was hoping to have a film which would actually teach plebs about war and it's actual horrors. In Dunkirk (the film) the soldier just ducked for a while whilst a bomber went over then got up and got on with it. No real horror or actual fear at all.
I just wanted something grittier. Not a single point was I shocked or horrified. I watched Fury and Schindler's List this week also and they are both superior films hand down.
