Also, Dunkirk is damn good, can't wait to webm it.
I've been lazy. No new content.

Its okay, I never seen that webm
Just to say, Dunkirk to me is the best war movie since Saving Private Ryan.
Also one of the best, if not the best movie of the decade. it is "No country" or "Born in blood" good.
>>85263298
Can't wait to see it.
>>85264091
Yeah, its really good. I normally downplay movies since high expectations can kill a love of a movie.
But it genuinely one of those wow films. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
>>85264176
I'm about halfway done with Legion, really glad I picked it up.
>>85264329
wait, so Gandry the rower is finally back? or is that someone else?
>>85261651
Can someone who knows how to edit shit unlike me make Bruce shoot someone out. Lots of potential Lulz being missed here.

glad someone else sees it. I not watched GOT in years (it lost it charm for me somewhere in season 2) so for a second i thought they had brought back Gandry.
bumping
Slow day today, I'll try to make some more Legion webms tonight
>>85261651
Dunkirk is definitely better as a source for webms than it is as an actual movie.
>>85266823
It was a great movie anon.
>>85267903
I was bored for most of it, which was too bad since i was really looking forward to it. The photography in the Spitfire scenes was cool, though.
>>85268139
>2 hours of dogfights, ships blowing up, dive bomb attacks, people drowning, and only broken by the occasional revisiting of a small boat that has a shellshocked trooper whokills the kid.
If you get bored by that, you might be expecting too much out of a film. Hell the only film that I can compare the action levels with is the new Mad Max film.
>>85263298
dunkirk would be a near perfect war movie if it wasn't pg-13. people are getting strafed, crushed, and bombed yet you only see two people with blood on them. one from an injury sustained from a fall. all those bodies on the beach and not a single one was dismembered or gored. he made war look too clean.
webm related is what watching R rated dunkirk would have felt like.
>>85268436
What you describe is about 10 minutes of the movie. If you enjoyed it, good, but it's not action-packed and it barely qualifies as a war movie. I'm starting to question whether you've actually seen it if you're comparing the action to the last Mad Max film - it's nothing of the sort. It has about as much action as Paths of Glory.
sound webms when
>>85269253
war movies aren't supposed to be action movies, fagtron.
ideally, a war movie should contain elements of a documentary (focusing primarily on the battle/even not individual characters, i.e. no bullshit love triangles, or other sideline relationships,) thriller (no america fuck yeah, single invincible hero guns down everyone bullshit,) horror (people should be dying horrible and painful deaths,) and only enough action necessary to drive the plot.
dunkirk hit on almost everything perfectly, except it's painfully obvious that nolan was gunning for the pg-13 rating. as such the horror part is too underwhelming.
>>85269253
Did you watch the movie?
okay putting this in spoilers.1/3 of the movie is dogfighting
the the mole sequence you have 3 dive bomb sequences, a hospital ship gets blown up,
a DD gets torpedoed, a minsweaper gets bombed, a trawler is being shot up, plus more minor sequences such as the opening getting behind the french lines and so on.
The only time that it not a action sequence is
after the DD gets torpedoed and the three guys wash ashore and are tired as fuck before they join the highlanders to get to the trawler, an the little boat sequence where the boy is killed and they are dealing with the shellshocked trooper. and about 5 minutes max of the navy and army guys talking updating the scenes so you know what time it is in the story.
Dunkirk has much less "non-action" time then any movie outside of Mad Max. Compare it to Thin Red Line or saving Private ryan.
Yes, it didn't have a bunch of guts and gore, but I would argue the story is better for it as that type of storytelling has been done 10 million times since 1998.
>>85269538
is that Hillary Swank?
what ever happened to herbest DSL ever.
>>85269621
TL:DR version is
Lack of Gore =/= lack of action.
>>85269538
>horror part is too underwhelming.
The sound design made up for any lack of gore. The dive bomb sequences where great.
>>85269751
i think i sat too far back in the theater, because i found the sound effects underwhelming too. someone on /tv/ said that people even covered their ears during the dive bombing scenes, but it was nowhere near close to that loud.
>>85270228
If the sound isn't right the movie will lose a lot of the power.
I didn't go to IMAX but it a place with a good sound system. People where covering ears and even heard a few "O god" on the 2nd strike.
the third strike my wife thought it was going to have a Das boot style ending.then bane became a hero we didn't ask for
>>85270523
What is this from?
>>85270824
Fargo I think.
And I think I am going to finish up some series and make some fresh OC this weekend.

Literally nothing on this Earth angers me more than people in film and television threatening another person with a gun and INEXPLICABLY WALKING TOWARDS THE PERSON THEY ARE THREATENING OR ALLOWING THAT PERSON TO WALK TOWARDS THEM LEADING TO INEVITABLE DISARMAMENT OH MY FUCKING GOD STOP DOING THIS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>85272444
yeah, well at least the whole stuff is subverted, along with the tough Native gal motif.
It one of the few noteworthy things in a series that isn't very good except for a few qts.
That, and there is random expanse cast sightings
>>85263298
>best war movie since Saving Private Ryan.
lost me there
>>85272907
Well, can't recall if SPR or Thin Red Line came out first. Best since 1998 at least.

Still worked.
