its pretty much the same "boo hoo I'm a drunken fuckup because of something in my childhood movie" that's been made a million times but with a giant monster and giant robot in seoul because magic.

Sounds good on paper: the movie
Might have made an alright short film with no-name actors

This was a feel-bad movie.
Why would you even choose to spend your time making yourself feel worse?
Also, Anne Hathaway is looking older. So on top of the "some people are just evil" message is a reminder that even if you're good, you're still going to grow old and ugly and die

Jason Sudekis was pretty good in this movie.
