If you want something that's actually good. They did a high budget show before it was cool. That's why it never went past two seasons, it cost too much but the 2 seasons are 100% worth a watch.

There are actually 2 tv series about the borgias that came out at about the same point, the american version is heavy on the drama, european bit more political/spiritual.

The American version which is actually canadian-hungarian-irish according to wiki is absolutely fantastic. Great cast headed by Jeremy Irons. I'm rewatching it for the second time right now. Haven't seen the european one because I can't imagine the characters being portrayed by other actors desu

It's the same formulaic trash that currently makes up the majority of successful shows (Walking Dead).
