It's a really poorly written piece so don't feel bad if it didn't make much sense at a quick glance.

What the author is saying is that it's wrong (microaggression, triggering) to look at Dunkirk's cast and say, "oh, look, it's a characteristically British cast!" because this implies that only white men are what can be called "characteristically British," which he/she alleges is categorically untrue since the britain of today is comprised of people of all sorts of races and genders.

He/she isn't calling out the film for having a white. It's a statement against people pointing at that cast, that happens to be all-white and almost all-male, and calling it "characteristically British".

Usual bitching and moaning bereft of any literary skill, as per usual.
