Did you watch this in a cinema with a film or a digital projector?
>>
the IMAX screen here isnt showing it yet, so I had to see an Imax™ version
>>
>>85239857
is it ok to watch it on a normal IMAX 1:9 aspect ratio?

there's no 70mm nor IMAX 70mm here so it's either that or plain Digital?

Which should it be?
>>
film. always love watching in that format
>>
If you don't watch this in IMAX, as it was shot, and intended to be seen, then you're a pleb.
>>
>>85240592
it was shot in imax 70mm for which there's like 31 projectors in the whole world - not so easy to get close to one.

what are the best second choices?
>>
>>85239857
did someone piss on the lens
>>
>>85240484

Digital IMAX is a scam, the experience is not remotely similar to real IMAX and it uses dual 2K projectors so it isn't any better than regular digital projection. You're paying a pointless surcharge for a somewhat bigger screen in a weird aspect ratio that the filmmakers had to reframe for but wasn't what they ever preferred.
>>
>>85240726
ok, then i just go for standard digital?
>>
I saw it in RPX whatever that is, the audio was amazing though, you could feel the Stukas coming at you
>>
>>85240484
OP here. I guess you can still watch it in 35mm film if you're in the US. The point here is that most of the world audience (including a good deal of US one) is watching movies in cinemas solely on digital projectors.
>>
>>85240723
Your brain is addled by memes
>>
>>85241029
yeah, im not in the US: only have 2 choices.

1. digital IMAX 1:9 ar
2. standard digital

what do
>>
>>85241075
Sorry mate, wouldn't know. In the shithole I'm in, there's only standard digital. But since we're talking about projectors here, I don't give a fuck about IMAX if it's still digital. Preferably, I'd watch the film on 35mm film. Fuck the commercial cinema chains.
>>
>>85241075
Whatever has the best audio
>>
Seeing it in 70mm on Saturday. Only a couple theaters are showing it in 70mm. All of said theaters had their projectors blow up, except one when Hateful 8 was showing (San Diego fag here)
>>
>>85241208
then im gonna get myself jewed by the digital imax surcharge...
