I'm actually very hopeful for the Naruto live action film. Kishimoto is set to produce and co-write the script, and he's already said in the past that Naruto is white (no shit), Sakura is white (no shit), and Sasuke is asian (no shit). Plus, it's only adapting up to the Zabuza arc, which would make for a decent plot.

Arcs on One Piece are just too fucking long. Even East Blue alone would require a retarded amount of time, and it would require almost every single villain to get cut. Granted, you can rearrange it in a decent order, but if you're not willing to take time with shit like Baratie and Arlong, you simply don't get One Piece. Let's try to be conservative and say we need to set aside time for
