It's a strong end to a strong trilogy as far as I'm concerned.
Every single aspect matured from the first movie to the last, directing, camera work, cgi, Andy's acting, pacing, the characters both emotionally and physically, you name it.
Not to mention Woody neither ruined it nor stole the show.
Hopefully the inevitable sequel won't be a fucking train-wreck.

Any sequel from this point would invariably be another remake of Planet of the Apes. I'm not sure if they really need to do that.
