I liked the commitment of THIS version to try and contain as much of the book as possible. A lot of people think it didn't translate well, I thought they managed to adapt most of the juicy stuff without condensing or cutting too much.

2) how certain houses rise
3) the blunders in Vlads schemes
4) the martial systems and practices of the cultures
5) the parallels in the sadukar history seen in the fremen

All of these important plot points and interesting world building themes had to be ignored/reworked without the Prison Planet and Sadukar backstory/exposition
