The way your post is written makes me think you fell in love with mad men. That means you will never find a show that can beat it, since this was the first one that made you feel this way. It happened to me with The Last Airbender. I know there are better shows out there but nothing will ever beat it.

one of the most beautiful shows I watched, with an interesting theme and a glorious soundtrack.

It got cancelled after 2 seasons, but you can view it as finished regardless. David Fincher wanted to remake it.

Its not on the level of Mad Men or Soparnos in terms of character development, far from it, but its georgeous cinematography, soundtrack and the underlying topic at hand make for a great watch.
