Seriously this film went on for about 30 minutes too long, Tarantino is an overly self-indulgent tard who could make really good films if he just learnt some self-control. The moment he thought "I should act in this film as an Australian" is the moment the film should have been wrapped instead.

Or he should just stick to adaptations because Jackie Brown is Tarankino

I've related the following story many times on this board, but it never gets old, so here goes.

I've seen Django Unchained once in the theaters with my brother, and to this day, neither of us have any idea what happened in that movie. Why? Because the movie brought black people out of the woodwork and into the theater.

I don't have a racist bone in my body, but one finds it hard to ignore how the demographic affected our movie-going experience. It is the first week of the screening of a new Tarantino film, so it is a very large theater, and my little brother and I are among a handful of people in a packed theater who aren't black.

Before the movie even started, I knew we were in for a bad time. The theater was LOUD. Whooping and hollering all over the place, it was disorienting. I desperately hoped that the noise would abate once the lights dropped, but deep down, I knew this would not be the case.

And it wasn't. The theater was a complete fracas. People having full conversations at normal volume, teens playing candy crush on their phones, an old woman snoring, you name it, it was happening. During scenes of action, the place would explode:

> "YEAH YEAH, SHOOT DAT NIGGA"
> "MORE LIKE DJANGO OFF THE CHAIN!"
> "OH SHIT, WHY HE DO THAT"

During any scene of exposition, the phones would come back out. Talking, texting, playing games, and tweeting in seemingly every aisle. As in, "If guns aren't being fired, this movie is too boring, and I want to do something else."

And here is the kicker: Remember the scene where Walton Goggins' character is escorting Django and a bunch of slaves to Candyland, and that Rick Ross song starts playing? As soon as that song started, people throughout the theater left their seats and raced into the aisles in order to dance. DANCE. Here we all are trying to watch a movie in a fucking movie theater, and people are racing into the aisles in order to twerk.

So yeah, I have no idea what I think of this movie.

Disgusting behaviour from our Transatlantic cousins, in jolly old blighty those people would have been tutted into a thousand pieces, silently shame-stared into submission until they left the kinoplex.

Tarantino's worst, tone is all over the place. Still not terrible though, enjoyable enough to watch once and with a few pretty good scenes.

Yeah, I don't even remember feeling angry, just utter confusion. It was as if I was placed in the middle of an alien society where accepted behaviors were totally foreign to me.

For what I am assuming is that experience, I have no desire to revisit the film.

I watched it and near the end when Django was captured I had to leave and do something.
I never finished it so I never seen how it ends or Tarantino actually acting in it.
Personally, seems like I dodged a bullet.
