Pretty huge letdown honestly, could have been a much better film.

What are you talking about you idiot. Its fucking great.

Letdown means you had higher expectations, the problem then is YOU not the movie, the movie was pretty great, terrible acting but that just made it feel like a Saturday morning cartoon

Sequel is going to be awful.
>>
One of my favorite movies out there
>>
Loved it. Sequel doesn't look very promising however with Boyega as Pentecost Jr
>>
I liked the idea, i didnt like the exection.

Pleasantly surprised. Obviously given the subject I expected it to be 100% mindless popcorn trash. In actuality it was only like 60% mindless popcorn trash.

I loved it. The bits with the main cast humans in hong kong could have used some polish. Though the fights were great. One of those movies that does exactly what it promised to do.

I also appreciate how far Del Toro went with practical effects. Putting those actors into a giant hydraulic cockpit set. Where they would get tossed around and beaten with huge splashes of water.
>>
I wishes the other robats weren't just jobbers and the movie showed them fighting more.

Awesome, went to see it.three times in the theater and then in my house.several times.

That's how I learned that not all cinemas.have the same quality despite being just as new, the brightness and detail was different in everyone of them

I also don't live in the US so no yelling or clapping, at most a sssshhh sound if some retarded idiot started making conversation which said idiot ended abruptly understanding there are others trying to enjoy the movie
>>
Honestly one of my favourite films.

Giant robots beating up monsters - what's not to like really
>>
9/10 it was alright
>>
had just enough creativity to make it entertaining, but it really needed better characters
as an Australian, I found the attempt at an Australian accent incredibly grating too
>>
del toro's comic book ameritard period is over, he's back making proper films now

it was really really shit. but had moments that were kind of cool to see
