Even if she was/is a good actress, she was a fairly minor and I get a feeling a lot of people would just confuse her with the log lady. I doubt she reappears. Up to now, all original characters, except Hawk somewhat, have been reduced to little more than set dressing. Andy, Lucy, James, Shelly, Norma, Nadine, Jacoby etc. are technically there, but if you edited out their appearances, it wouldn't change anything to the story. I didn't know anything about Twin Peaks, and I didn't see it until maybe 6 years ago. The Return hadn't been announced. Midway through season 2, I noticed a huge drop in quality. It's not a meme. I stuck through it to get to the end. I mean, only the James parts were really that terrible. The Nadine shit was just dumb. Ben Horne's Civil War was actually pretty kino.

It just wasn't nearly as good as the show was before. I noticed.

Anyone here ever watch any Korean TV? I realized the other day that new Twin Peaks reminds me a lot of that. No consistent tone, jumping around all the time, abandoning plot threads for episodes at a time, etc. That sounds bad, but I like it in both cases.

Rereading Secret History, episode 8 makes a lot more sense. Turns out Twin Peaks is really Mark's autistic Thelemic fanfiction.

The reason the first nuke test summoned the mother and Bob is because it was the most powerful explosion up to that point. Explosive magick is used to open gates to the underworld and summon the goddess Babalon. The mother/experiment is Babalon, the mother of abominations.

Jack Parsons, the founder of JPL, was doing this with his research on fuels and rockets. He also had the ring in the 40s. A week before the Roswell crash, Parsons did a ritual in the desert of New Mexico to summon the 'moonchild'.

The moonchild is from a novel by Crowley about a war between two lodges of magicians, black and white. The white magicians created a pure soul to defeat the black magicians. Laura is the moonchild and apparently Roswell was the crash of her sphere.
