oddly enough, i wasn't trying to shitpost. /lit/ regard the books as little better than trash, and i was wondering if the fantasy meme was dead yet. having someone pony up the money to make Wheel of Time and then having them realise how stupid this would be and cancelling it would be a fair indication that the Lord of the Rings wave has broken on the shore and is seeping pack into the ocean, taking the bodies of dead crabs with it.

I love WoT and in my dreams I want a live action series.
But in all seriousness, it will never work.

They should focus on smaller series, like Joe Abercrombies "The First Law".
