I'm always torn on this film. I've seen it a few times and I can't decide if I love it or dislike it. It's the kind of film where, if I see clips (like the drive to the hospital, the hammer scene, the car confrontation outside the liquor store) they seem masterful. But when I rewatched the entire thing recently, there were a lot of parts that seemed super hammy and hokey and just didn't work at all.

One of the most love/hate films I can think of in recent memory.
