both are pretty reddit but if I had to guess I'd say Cabin is more reddit by a factor of about 20%

OP here. I just watched Scream recently and was blown away by how good it was. I thought being self-aware and meta was complete cringe-worthy reddit territory. It was actually incredibly good, and felt very fresh in spite of how "in" meta-humor is. It's led me to believe that my association of meta-humor with cringeworthiness is more due to most recent meta-humor being terrible rather than meta-humor actually being bad. I think, even though I hate Whedon, that I'd still give the win to Cabin, but they're both great and worth watching for any horror fan.
