He had his own sitcom, though he was most famous for being a standup comic, known for his "you might be a redneck" jokes. It seemed like Comedy Central went through a redneck comedy phase maybe 10 years ago, and he as well as some of the other famous redneck comics got some airtime on there. If you aren't American or are under 20 years old, then yeah, I could see maybe not knowing who he is.

Yeah but you have to factor in the type of people who go to golden corral (if i'm not mistaken their locations are mostly in the south). The clientele is much more likely to know jeff foxworthy than a 20 something urban person
