This was always on my mind since I first saw the movie, I think it's basically the whole point to the series. Good and evil aren't real, nothing is clear cut, everything is subjective. But even underneath all that, the real question is whether you'd rather be blissfully ignorant or enlightened to the truth and miserable. Is it better to have comfortable lies or uncomfortable truths? Would you rather live in a world of nice illusions or a world of harsh reality?
And it does all that while looking incredible and being badass as fuck.
Fuck I love those movies.
