Just got out of the theatre.
The movie wasn't that terrible like /tv/ was planning but it's not the best nolan either
The movie is made on 2 different point of view.
3 Soldiers and 2 dogfighters, the directing of the movie will make you see some scene from the dogfight point of view then from the soldiers point of view literrally 10 minutes later. I would compare the editing of the movie similar to a pulp fiction but you can't really have a crush on a soldier because there is a lack of personnality or background history of the characters
The dogfight are stunning but I feel like there is a lack of ground fight in this movie.
I was expecting to see the fall of Dunkerque and feeling the tension of the german getting closer and closer while British and French line fall but most of the movie actually happen on the water.
Nolan did center the point of view on the british but you can actually see french soldiers but to be fair there are like 10 of them in the movie.
The ending of the movie feel a bit rushed just like the characters. It's a bit messy just like Interstellar ending
