There are multiple issues with this thread

1. Why does anyone take IMDB ratings seriously I'm pretty sure it's literally just manchildren who obsessively rate things on there

2. Please stop being upset when people disagree with you and that they ruined cinema, shit films existed and were praised long before you were born and good films went unheard of

The rotten tomatoes score for Force Awakens is also unreasonable high at over 90% and those are "real critics".

For the most part good films got the praise they deserved, even at the Oscars. You're describing a recent trend.
