Aside from the Sandor scenes, this was one of the most underwhelming episodes of the entire show.

I know they hype up the first episode every single season, and have all the actors go around with publicity to say how "amazing" it was or how it "blew their minds reading the script" or whatever, but this episode was pure shit outside of that. The show even doesn't look like it used to, the costumes still look good, but they're all out of place and don't feel right in the show (especially Euron). Then there's the absolute nosedive in writing quality courtesy of D&D who have to write everything themselves now, and it really fucking shows how untalented they are. I don't even care about these characters anymore, I just want this show to be over.

The worst part is that they took even more time to write / film this garbage because working on 10 episodes was so difficult for them, how pathetic is that? This is the best shit they could come up with all the additional time they were give, and cutting down the season to only 7 episodes? Just sad.

I say all of this as someone who thought season 6 was pretty decent overall, especially the finale, but this just doesn't feel like the same show anymore. Something is clearly off.
