Haven't seen the first two seasons, watching this one. Is it supposed to be a comedy? Because I can't stop laughing.

It does have a lot of comedic moments, yes. But chances are you won't be able to follow the actual story if you haven't seen the old show and preferably also the movie.

Are you retarded? It's intentionally funny in a lot of places.

Yes but OP knows the show doesn't make any sense if you haven't seen the first seasons and the movie.

WHY? If you want to understand what's going on you have to watch the previous seasons and Fire Walk With Me.
>Is it supposed to be a comedy?
Yes, Twin Peaks has always had lots of funny moments.
I couldn't stop laughing during the entire casino scene in last night's episode. And people didn't like the episode and called it "filler"? Plebs, the lot of you

This isn't bait. Even without seeing first 2 seasons, it's clear that each episode is drawn out as fuck, and characters are acting retarded or weird on purpose.
What I'm getting at is that this schtick gets old after 2-3 episodes at best, so I'm trying to understand whether writers still consider this series to be a serious work, or this whole awkwardness is intentionally comedic.I fucking laughed at Johnny scene, holy shit. So over the top
