Black Death is such a fucking fedora fest. It's worth noting how much more powerful pic related was, as a well researched period piece with a malevolent atmosphere, when it openly embraced the magical and supernatural. With Black Death, I can see the Richard Dawkins acolyte behind the screenplay smugly grinning about how God isn't real while his movie ends up being mediocre as hell.

I love the Witch and agree that it is probably better than Black Death. In my opinion Black Death was a pretty decent film with a very dark atmosphere as well. I might be to superficial about it.
