Game of Thrones Season 8 is literally going to be this.

>B̶o̶l̶v̶a̶r̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶d̶r̶a̶g̶o̶n̶ Jon Snow dies trying to kill the L̶i̶c̶h̶ Night King.
>Two armies who would have otherwise been at each others throats led by G̶a̶r̶r̶o̶s̶h̶ Jamie Lannister and V̶a̶r̶i̶a̶n̶ ̶W̶r̶y̶n̶n̶ Dany push the walkers back into the North
>T̶i̶r̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶d̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ The Hound leads a group of heroes into I̶c̶e̶c̶r̶o̶w̶n̶ ̶C̶i̶t̶a̶d̶e̶l̶ Castle Black to finally kill the retreating L̶i̶c̶h̶ Night King
>His allies dying all around him T̶i̶r̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶d̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ The Hound takes up a weapon made f̶o̶r̶g̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ made of Dragon Glass that kills the L̶i̶c̶h̶ Night King
>T̶i̶r̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶d̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ The Hound picks up the L̶i̶c̶h̶ Night Kings H̶e̶l̶m̶e̶t̶ [insert magical trinket]
>He hears a ghostly voice whisper: "Without it's masters command, the restless s̶c̶o̶u̶r̶g̶e̶ white walkers will become an even greater threat to this world. Control must be maintained. >There must always be a L̶i̶c̶h̶ Knight king.
>T̶i̶r̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶F̶o̶r̶d̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ The hound says: The weight of such a burden... It must be mine, for there is no other.

The start of season 7 was bad, it's only going to get worse.
