Does it matter? It's still the best by a long way and it's not like I'm going to stop using it, updates or not.

Good thing the latest updates now allow to buffer video without having to tweak binary files.

I'll only change it if meme codecs like x265 and AV1 ever become the norm and start showing playback issues, otherwise, I have no reason to.
