I am concerned about this but just because I think the best qualities in a Doctor are being grumpy and bitter (which I think Capaldi did well but was let down by the writing)
Even David Tenent who at the worst times was bubbly and up beat had a dark brooding side that.

No problem with Doctor Who getting boobs and a minge but to waste this potentially momentous opportunity on someone so, for want of a better word, "bland", is such a shame.

We've had doctors who were practically unknown before they took the role before. Matt Smith for example and even Tom Baker were hardly household names, but they looked quirky, like there was something about them that spoke of mystery. Jodie Whittaker just looks bland and uninteresting, the sort of woman you would see working in any shoe shop up and down the country. A clone. Blond hair, not too fat standard sort of look, not ugly but not someone who you could call that interesting.

Just a bland automaton to read out whatever Chibbers has written, nothing more, nothing less. Given how lackluster Chibber's scripts have been so far I was hoping that a charismatic lead would inject a bit of pizazz into things but now I don't hold out much hope.

Best case scenario there might be some really good companions to keep the show bubbling over until the Doctor regenerates again. However given this wasted opportunity (if they wanted a woman that bad Miranda Hart, Anna Friel, Claire Sweeney, Emily Browning, Miriam Margoles and countless other women with a bit of gravitas and/or more interesting were available) I would expect the companion will be played by Dave from Chibber's local chippie.

Episode 3: The doctor deals with a failed pregnancy test and has to find a way to abort her baby without ruining her pussy. This involves some timey wimey shrinky kinky antics where they end up in Her Uterus and they bring some kind of transporter for the sentient fetus, and they convince it to transport himself out of her womb, thus aborting himself.

Never watched the show, doubt I ever will, but it's obvious why there's some people who are upset about it.

There's a fear that now that it's a woman, they will handle it with kid gloves and try to treat it safe as a result since it is a big change. Hopefully for fans, the writers don't fall into this and treat it just like any other Doctor, but it's not surprising that people are worried.
