Big fan of the ep, and find the whole "LE SCIENCE WAS WRONG, AN EGG CANT BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!!!" amusing/baffling, as if Doctor Who was a hard science show all along or something.

Breaking down the inherently condescending nature of the Doctor/companion relationship was kino, and as the 2nd big "woah that's really different" moment of s8, really keyed me into the Capaldi era being something special. The final scene in the TARDIS is seriously amazing, and I applaud Moffat for taking the show to dangerous territory like questioning the whole dynamic that underlines the show, and Peter and Jenna for selling it so well.

Not a perfect ep, some of the cast is off and Harness awkwardly meshes political elements that don't work with meta elements that do, but for the most part it works really well IMO, especially in the context of s8.
