I seriously liked Jared Leto as the Joker. He wasn't the problem with the movie. The problem was that it was an awkwardly written film with a bunch of stitched together scenes. The biggest problem with the film is the Enchantress shit. Because most of DC is supposed to be that way. Marvel is making a mistake making everything bright. The truth is, both should have variety, but it should be appropriate for the characters. Batman, Punisher, Lobo, Ghost Rider, Winter Soldier, Wolverine etc. need to be dark. But there's also a difference between brightness and seriousness. The end fight sequence in MoS was lame. Supes and Zodd beating on each other for 10 minutes while both of them were literally invincible (until the plot demanded otherwise) carried absolutely no dramatic tension, regardless of how many buildings they punched each other through. It felt like a huge waste of time. At least in the smallville fight there was tension due to the presence of all the innocent bystanders who Superman had to keep safe while fighting, and the vulnerability of the normie soldiers. I also thought that the ultra in-your-face themes of JESUS and MURICA were annoying. In the year 2017, literally everyone already knows that Supes is a Jesus allegory. Pointing this out through ultra overt symbolism in every other scene is neither needed nor appreciated. It's also not a Michael Bay film, stop throwing flags everywhere like the movie got funding from the military. It's tacky.
