I saw a press screening of Dunkirk last Thursday. Here is the opening scene, I'm happy to elaborate and answer anything.A title crawl comes on screen and gives us about four sentences of information on the dire circumstances of the war and how a miracle is needed. About 7 British soldiers are roaming the streets when war propaganda posters fly toward them. One character observes the poster for a moment and the group begins to take a break nearby a vacant house. As one soldier is about to light a used cigarette from an ash-tray, he's shot and the group flees away. Only Fionn Whotehead's character (because this movie never cares to state character names) escapes after the other six men are gunned down.
Honestly how good is the film? How does it compare to interstellar and inception? How do you feel about Nolan's films in general?
