Here's some backstory:
>James Rigney was a decorated helicopter gunner who killed over 3,000 VCs
>He read a fantasy book while being hospitalized and thought it was trash and if that was the standard then he could be a writer too
>Wrote a fantasy novel in the hospital and sent it to the slush pile without an agent and the editor thought he had potential
>The editor married him
>He eventually produced the most successful fantasy series of the 90s and was called the American Tolkien by Time magazine
>now it's coming 2 tv
