Sony will resurrect Garfield Spidey if Venom succeeds.

They now know they are losing audiences every time they reboot and they cant afford a 4th reboot. Holland Spidey being well integrated into the MCU timeline, it would be stupid to retcon that story and do something of their own.

Which leaves them with only one option. Bringing back Andrew Garfield. The only reason Garfield was fired was because he pissed off Sony Japan CEO by not turning up at an event where Spidey 3 was supposed to be announced. Vindictive Jap ordered him to be fired and cancelled his little movie to spite him.

I'm sure garfield will be willing bend over and apologize because his career is pretty dead without spidey.

They're building to a Mile Morales Spiderman ran by Sony, and Holland's stays in the MCU.
