Games are the only form of this IP that matter now. The books wouldnt be known of in the West if not for the games.

Sapkowski sold CDPR the rights for one lump sum and they went on to become very successful games so hes a bitter cunt and making it a point to involve himself in this series when he laughed at CDPR when they asked him to consult. Every book besides the short stories are mediocre anyways.
