Stop with this shit. All three of them made a lot of money, the third one scored high on both RT and IMDB, and actually won a bunch of awards (MTV, people's choice etc).

Fun fact - The Phantom Menace had one of the most successful DVD box sets of all time, and even Attack of the Clones sold like $200 mil. worth of DVD's.

The prequels were neither a disaster, nor universally hated. It's a meme perpetuated by pretentious tryhards.

The Prequels were horrendous. The shit awakens is atrocious. I said 'were' and 'is', now why? The prequels were bad and is bad but they're prequels and they were original in their own way. Unique ideas, expanded ideas and so on. The sequel, the shit awakens, was the most anticipated film in film history and it was unbelievably bad. Rogue One sucked too, but it was a prequel.
