The question is when did the trend of movies having scripts consisting of 100% quippery begin. All bond films have a lot of one liners but also the dialogue in From Russia with love is mostly character and plot development, like a movie should be. Modern marvel movies literally can't go through a single scene without a low effort witty comment for no reason. This is not the case in bond movies.
