Movie was fantastic though.

As an aronofsky movie it's his weakest but it's still a 7/10 imo. Some absolutely great scenes and interesting themes.

Rock monster wtf

Easily the worst film from Aronofsky. One would expect majesty and awe from this kind of adaptation but instead we are met with poor melodramatics, rock creatures and teen fiction style youth. The final third is a breath of fresh air lost in a coda that plods on and plotting issues that don't bear scrutiny. A misfire that really should have been something special not something mediocre.
