>tfw every single horror movie you've watched the past week has been complete shit
Could a true patrician of /tv/ rec some good horror kino? What I already watched recently and hated are:
Alchemist's Cookbook
Dog Soldiers
Basket Case
Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2
Prince of Darkness
The Howling
Dead Zone
Videodrome
The relic
The ring
The Omen I - III

Forgot the void as well
>>84922905
>>84922905
Scary Movie
The Thing
Maniac
Angst
Black Christmas
last house on dead end street
>>84922905
You know a few of those movies are more like horror comedy than actual horror right?
The only horror movie that ever spooked me was jeepers creepers
>>84923024
>>84923039
Lol got em!
>Evil Dead
>horror
I found the problem OP, you're fucking retarded.
>>84923103
And? It's still within the horror genre. Creepshow is an example of good horror comedy, but imo what was in my list was shit
>>84922905
The Shining
Rosemary Baby
Exorcist
Exorcist 3
Kill List
Lost Highway
The Poltergeist
The Others
Sixth Sense
No one gets fucking scared from a film. Horror movies are all about atmosphere and coziness.
With that new mindset, try to watch these:
Halloween (1978)
Scream
The Shining
and yeah pretty much them>>84923175
Thanks for the recs everyone
A Tale of Two Sisters.
>>84922905
>Hated Dog Soliders
Confirmed pleb.
I dont like the genre much, its largely predictable and stupid jumpscares, but I like some movies.
>28 days later
>The Grudge
>Dawn of the dead
also hearing good things about
>Train to Busan
>>84923402
how the fuck are horror movies comfy. nothing about feeling dread or unnerve is comfy
>>84922905
>Didn't like prince of darkness

OP of you want a good horror film watch
POSSESSION
and then Diabel or On the Silver Globe. That will get the shit taste out of your mouth.
My top horror movies
Session 9
Kill List
The Wailing
then there's
[James Wan big budget horror films]. These are regarded by everyone on /tv/ as pleb trash because of lack of subtlety and jump scares but I like the way Wan plays with the audience expectations in setting up his jump scares, and The Conjuring movies have that fantastic vera fermiga/patrick wilson combo.
