So I wasn't allowed to watch the Simpsons growing up, since I lived in a very religious household. I got to watch it starting on season 12 and I borrowed old VHS tapes of earlier seasons. It most certainly declined in quality after season 9, and by 11 it was almost a completely different show. After 11 everything was almost unwatchable.
I had absolutely no nostalgia for the older seasons.

It's crazy to think back on how many kids I knew growing up that couldn't watch the Simpson's. It seems so tame now but people really thought it was brain corrupting garbage.
