I can't think of too many that i've seen in recent memory where it's true, but it's easy to explain. It's funny and cute to show the fairer sex as tough and the one who REALLY wears the pants in the family. We all know it's not true but when you see a broken middle aged man whose given up on winning against a nagging wife it's funny. Misery is funny.
