"Villains" who did nothing wrong

I remember he was really cool, his prison escape scene and fight on the bridge elevated that movie significantly. But I fucking hate how he lost to fat panda, even if that was the whole point of the movie.

Tai Lung didn't beg. He called Po's bluff but Po wasn't bluffing. Also it's not a death sentence, it's a one way ticket to the spirit world that becomes a round trip ticket in the 3rd movie. Basically if he can master his ki / chi Tai Lung can come and go from the spirit world as he pleases. For reasons I don't understand I watched all 3.
