Let's be honest here, Bucher played for a sub-par Div. 2 program and was the star player. No one else on that team had any talent (as evidenced by their record prior to him joining the team and their performance in the Bourbon Bowl before he showed up.)
Forrest played for the Bryant-era Alabama Crimson Tide, one of the greatest football dynasties there has ever been. The sheer amount of talent surrounding him would put the game out of reach for the Mud Dogs. There's no way they would even be in a position to win the game with that amount of time left. According to my models and projections. Alabama would be a 35 point favorite in this scenario and would have likely covered the spread.
