Outside of the Lynch directed episodes, the show is pretty shit. Most of it is just such a cheesy 90s daytime soap its nearly unbearable.

But you have to watch those episodes to get the most out of the good lynch ones. Which is deeply unfortunate.

Before you jump to correct someone maybe you need to learn more about the board culture, so you don't embarrass yourself again. Marathon on this board and /a/ and /mu/ will often also mean watching or listening to stuff at 1x speed. For anyone keeping up with many current shows and movies or other kinds of media where there's a lot released, a really useful technique is getting used to watching it at some higher speed. So people will play shows as 1.5x or 2 or 3x, or whatever. When you get used to it, it literally just means you can watch many times more things in the same amount of time. But if you end up having to watch something at 1x speed again, after you're used to everything being faster, it can feel really gruelingly slow, thus, marathon.

It's boring and outdated, it was just a success of its time because it seemed unique and different, so it was 'cool' to like it and follow it. It was a parody of the cheesy shows from that time. It's actually reddit before reddit. Now it has indeed aged like milk, and the third season is even more of a joke that the fucks on that board pretend to like yet again to feel superior.
