Did I just watch 2 hours of anti-isolationist propaganda?

just a bad movie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYsaUMc8jaM
the most forgettable disney movie
I only remember moana's name as the main character
>>84798178
huh? I'm talking about a movie...
>muh voyagers
The Rock literally saved this movie.
>>84798150
Why is everything propaganda to you retards?
seeing moana getting BLEACHED would have done that better
>>84798673
Pretty much this. I walked away appreciating The Rock. I went in expecting him to be the downfall but when he was done singing I was actually enjoying him.
>>84798737
>BLEACHED
You mean COLONIZED
Can we get back to the underlying message of the movie?
like it had a more empowering message for young girls than most kids movies but it was so boring
>>84798150
You're welcome
Boring contrived plot. Forced surface comedy. The Rock stops doing a Hawaiian voice near the end and just phones it in. Really shit antagonist; what was his motivation? 2/10
Plus they do the same song 3 times.
I hate Disney and their anti-nationalist, anti-white propaganda but I thoroughly enjoyed Moana. Dunno if I'd say it's anti-isolationist though.

All of the adventures that Maui sang about in the "You're Welcome" song sounded way more interesting than the actual movie. Seriously, a movie about a demigod running around doing good deeds out of love for humanity would be really unique and engaging.
Moana a cute...CUTE!
>Father tells her no
>Goes beyond reef anyway
>Father shows her traditional stone
>Uses a shell instead
Why did they make her so retaliatory against her father?
Oh yeah, independent womyn don't need no man etc etc

Pros:
>Absolutely beautiful
Cons:
>About as formulized as a Disney movie can be
>Humor is poor and predictable
>Dialogue is obscenely... modern
Like I appreciate trying to make an accurate cultural film but making every character talk like a 2017 high school bitch seems disingenuous.
At least it was better than Brave
>>84799908
There wasn't really an antagonisst
>>84799908
>Really shit antagonist; what was his motivation?
Do you mean the crab?
He wanted to be shiny.
moana is the thiccest disney slut we've had since lilo and stitch
I'm surprised at the negativity this film gets on /tv/. I really enjoyed it. It's likely won't be remembered as a Disney classic or anything but it has plenty of great set pieces, a great dynamic between the two leads and a lot of really memorable songs. Worst thing I could say is it was formulaic but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. Solid 7/10.

>Worst thing I could say is it was formulaic
I'd add that a lot of the jokes fall really flat (The tweet one was terrible) but again didn't stop me enjoying the film.
>>84800342
I accept this as a motivation.

When Maui started writing on the oar with Hei Hei about howBaywatch is a FUN RAUNCHY R RATED COMEDYit really took me out of the film
Dormmamu, Iam Moana of Motinui. You will board my boat and restore the heart to Te Fiti
i came up with an inverse interpretation and considered it to mean that brown thiccs should spread and procreate as much as possible. not that i have a problem with brown thiccs trying to fuck as much as possible or anything

>tfw watched Doctor Strange and Moana for the first time days apart

Hello schlomo
>Maui was so ugly as a baby that his parents threw him in the ocean to die
