Pretty much this. I walked away appreciating The Rock. I went in expecting him to be the downfall but when he was done singing I was actually enjoying him.

Boring contrived plot. Forced surface comedy. The Rock stops doing a Hawaiian voice near the end and just phones it in. Really shit antagonist; what was his motivation? 2/10
Plus they do the same song 3 times.

I hate Disney and their anti-nationalist, anti-white propaganda but I thoroughly enjoyed Moana. Dunno if I'd say it's anti-isolationist though.

All of the adventures that Maui sang about in the "You're Welcome" song sounded way more interesting than the actual movie. Seriously, a movie about a demigod running around doing good deeds out of love for humanity would be really unique and engaging.

moana is the thiccest disney slut we've had since lilo and stitch

I'm surprised at the negativity this film gets on /tv/. I really enjoyed it. It's likely won't be remembered as a Disney classic or anything but it has plenty of great set pieces, a great dynamic between the two leads and a lot of really memorable songs. Worst thing I could say is it was formulaic but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. Solid 7/10.

I'd add that a lot of the jokes fall really flat (The tweet one was terrible) but again didn't stop me enjoying the film.
