People with lousy moral scruples (like Jimmy the ex-hustler) don't turn down that much money. They take it and rationalize the collateral damage later. Crap like this wrecks the suspension of disbelief...like having Walt Jr. turn on his beloved dad in favor of bitchy Skyler.

They could've easily had chubby law firm girl show up and reveal him to be pulling a stunt on the oldsters without making Jimmy look like a sentimental moron.

My pleb test is to ask people if they like season 5. Usually they'll say "yeah season 5 is the best". Then I stick my fork in their eye.
