I loved it. Animation was great. I thought it was funny. The pacing was unusual but it worked for the film. It's just a good, interesting and fun film to watch. Idk what it is about Roald Dahl books but they always seem to adapt well to film.

Really good, fun film with heart. Animation's spectacular. The sort of melancholy 'children's film' you don't really see anymore. Stoked for the new one.

Hm, if you're serious that is interesting. Throw me a couple recs/faves.

The animation is good, I really liked the style. However like most of wes's films, it comes with some emotionally charged (sub)plot(s) that feel cheesy and is never handled well. The main story of Fantastic Mr Fox is top tier entertainment though, and does enough to carry the movie. In comparison, The Royal Tenenbaums can not carry it's sub plots and ends up being awful.
